Joe Lewis is an education professor at Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he works with aspiring and practicing teachers. His scholarly work has focused on equity in education, particularly closing the school-to-prison pipeline. Joe lives in St. Paul with his wife, Gabby, and daughters, Aichatou and Mariana. Each year, he has the privilege of traveling to Tanzania to serve as a guest teacher at Namnyaki.
David Blomquist is a student at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he is a history major, a rugby player, and a member of the martial arts club. David has a professional interest in teaching and international development. He looks forward to his first visit to Namnyaki in the upcoming year.
Jean Lewis is a partner at the law firm of Kramon and Graham in Baltimore, Maryland, specializing in commercial litigation. She has served on a wide range of non-profit boards, including, currently, the Rose Street Community Center in Baltimore. A former math teacher, she is highly committed to educational equity for girls and young women. She lives in Baltimore with her husband, Mike, and son, Paul. Her daughter, Isabel, is a college student in New York.
